Dear competitors, coaches and officials,<\/p>\n

On behalf of the WAKO Nederland and Karatedo Y\u014dkoso it is my pleasure to welcome you to the Y\u014dkoso Dutch Open in The Netherlands, at Sporthallen Zuid Burgerweeshuispad 54 1076 EP in Amsterdam. This great tournament will be held on the Friday 27th, Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th of March 2026. Last years the tournament showed to be a big success. In 2025 we had 28 countries present, we will offer you guaranteed high quality forms and fights. The tournament has been growing for the past 10 years and this will be the first time that we will do it in two days competition. On Friday we will have the weight- in and seminars. We will have all Point Fighting and Traditional forms on Saturday. Also all the grandchampion Forms and the Battles we will have on the Saturday, aswell as Ring Sports. On Sunday we’ll have all Light Contact, Kick Light divisions, all creative and musical Forms, TAG Team and the Grand Champion Pointfighting divisions. For the Grand Champion Men division there is a prize of 1000 euro and also for the Women there is a 1000 euro prize. Depending on the registration we will have also on Sunday K1. By Dutch Law it\u2019s not allowed to have any contact to the head up till 15 years, so all categories K1 for Cadets (10-11 years, 12-13 years and 14-15 years). For Juniors (16-17 years) it is allowed to have contact to the head since 2025!\u00a0 We will have this year again Forms for disabled athletes as we had last year. The WAKO Nederland is proud to host this Y\u014dkoso Dutch Open event and our organizing committee with the Y\u014dkoso Team is doing its utmost in order to make the Y\u014dkoso Dutch Open as successful as previous editions. We are looking forward to meet you all in The Netherlands and wish you a nice and successful stay in Amstelveen\/ Amsterdam.
